Fall Sessions Are Open!

Happy July!!  It's hard to believe it is already time for me to open up my fall booking calendar!!  Every year gets busier and busier with people trying to get in for their fall photos and this year will be no exception.  October is also proving to be a very busy month with several of my clients adding new babies to their families so I will be extra busy!

Here is how fall booking works...

Below you will find a list of all the open dates I have for sessions.  These are full 1-hour sessions family sessions which include an online gallery of 40+ images which you can download and print at the photo lab of your choice or you may also order prints directly through the gallery this year as well.  You can even order your photo cards through the gallery which is a new feature this year.

Session times are based on sunset and can not be changed so please be aware of the both the date and time that you are choosing.  The later we get into fall the earlier session times get so be aware if you need to have a later time with work schedules that you book right away as those go fast.  Fall colors changes when it decides to change so there is no guarantee that any one date will have amazing color.  However, in the fall I am very aware of my locations and move them to the spots displaying the best color.  I also shoot the last hour of the day during the "golden hour" giving any scene the nice golden color that everyone loves in the fall.  You can't go wrong with any date you choose in the fall in Nebraska.

Once you have looked over the dates and times, go to the contact form and complete it with the date you would like for your session.  Once I reply to you confirming that I still have the date you would like available, you must pay the $100 booking retainer to officially book your session.  Please do not pay the booking retainer until I have confirmed I still have openings.  I will send you an invoice for your remaining session balance of $175 which you can pay at anytime between booking and two weeks prior to your session.  I will also be sending you a new Session Prep Guide in August which will give you location ideas, what to wear suggestions and session prep so that everything goes great for your fall family photos.

Now to choose your date and get you on my books while I still have openings!

You Are My Sunshine | Family Photographer Lincoln, Nebraska

The sun was bright and hot and this sweet family was AMAZING!  They were one of the winners of my session giveaway this spring but I think I was the winner!  I mean could they be any cuter, better dressed or have bigger smiles?!

I actually meet Mom and Little Miss a couple years ago when they tagged along with one of my other clients for their watermelon mini session.  It was fun to see them again and meet the other half of their family.  The humidity was at it's peak and I was a hot mess by the end but these guys did awesome.  They have been at the ball field this summer with the Little Slugger so they are in good practice for being in the heat I guess because you'd never know by the smiles on their faces.

As a mama of a soon to be senior in high school, I can assure the days only go by quicker so treasure each you have with your babies!  Thanks so much {D} Family for the honor of capturing these days for you!

Third Times The Charm | Family Photographer Lincoln, Nebraska

I meet this sweet little family a few years ago when I photographed them for the first time.  Over the years I have come to love them even more.  They are so sweet and fun and just the cutest.

This year's session started out with a few hiccups.  First, little Miss broke her ankle when she jumped of a ledge while they went to East Campus to check out the location before our session.  Well, and to get ice cream because is it even possible to go to East Campus without getting ice cream?!

Then the day of their reschedule shoot we had to postpone literally the last minute because a storm blew in.  They were on their way to East Campus so they went ahead and got ice cream.

Then finally we got to actually have their session and it went fantastic!  Thank goodness!  I was beginning to think we would never get to that part.  We hit up some of my fav spots around campus and we even revisited the scene of the leg breaking accident.

When we were wrapping up the session Miss {A} say, "See you next year!!"  I love that I get to watch your littles grow and that I have become a yearly thing {H} family!  It's like our own little family reunion!!

Easy, Peasy, Lemon Squeezy | Children's Photographer Lincoln, Nebraska

A couple months ago I found this adorable lemon romper from What's Knot To Love (she is based out of Gretna so look her up!) and I just knew I had to do a fun lemon session with Miss {E}.  Her mama and the owner of What's Knot to Love when to high school together.  We decided to wait until she could sit up and the time has come!  She is sitting like a big girl now and full of adorable smiles.

Her big brother was making her smile and being a sweet big brother as always.  Her daddy was reciting from memory the Dr. Suess ABC which he said he read to all four of his babies.  He said D is her favorite letter and I have to agree.  When he would get to D she would smile from ear to ear.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting the see the relationships that families have with one another.  Every family dynamic is so different and so amazing in it's own special way.  Getting to capture it is such and honor!
